<p>We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lifting Inspector to join our team in Bahrain. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in lifting equipment inspection, load testing, and compliance with national and international standards. We value safety, integrity, and continuous improvement in all aspects of our work.</p><p>Key Responsibilities and Duties</p><ul><li>Plan, coordinate, and execute lifting equipment inspections, load tests, and certification activities in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., AS/MSA, API, EN, OSHA) and client requirements.</li><li>Lead a team of inspectors, assign tasks, review reports, and ensure technical accuracy and compliance with quality management systems.</li><li>Perform thorough visual inspections, non-destructive testing, and functional testing of slings, cranes, hoists, shackles, lifting beams, spreader bars, and associated lifting gear.</li><li>Authorize issuance of inspection certificates and ensure timely submission of detailed reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for corrective actions.</li><li>Review maintenance records, service histories, and calibration data; identify trends and propose optimization and safety improvements.</li><li>Collaborate with clients, project managers, and safety teams to plan outages, shutdowns, and lifting operations with minimal risk.</li><li>Provide technical guidance on selection, use, and limits of lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging practices.</li><li>Maintain compliance with local regulations and company policies; stay current with evolving industry standards and best practices.</li><li>Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses related to lifting activities, contributing to corrective action plans.</li><li>Support business development by contributing to proposals, method statements, and scope define for lifting-related projects.</li></ul><p>Qualifications and Requirements</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Safety, or equivalent).</li><li>5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in lifting equipment inspection, testing, and compliance.</li><li>Professional certification in lifting inspection or related standards (e.g., LEEA, IDLH, API 8C, or equivalent) is highly preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of welding, metallurgy, crane operations, rigging, and load testing methodologies.</li><li>Proficiency with inspection documentation, certificates, and reporting software; attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to train and mentor junior staff.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple inspections and prioritize safety-critical tasks under pressure.</li><li>Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice, to client sites and project locations within Bahrain and neighboring regions.</li></ul><p>Required Skills</p><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Technical inspection and testing techniques for slings, hooks, shackles, lifting gears, and crane components.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for root cause analysis and corrective actions.</li><li>Proficiency in preparing comprehensive inspection reports and recommendations.</li><li>Leadership and delegation skills with a proactive safety mindset.</li><li>Effective communication with clients, engineers, and field personnel.</li></ul><p>Benefits and Perks</p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience and market standards in Bahrain.</li><li>Medical insurance, paid leave, and retirement plan participation as per company policy.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development, training, and certification renewal.</li><li>Collaborative work environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.</li></ul>
