The role requires extensive hands‑on experience with <strong>220 kV substations, HV overhead lines (OHL), towers</strong>, and associated protection and control systems. The incumbent will work independently as an <strong>Authorized Electrical Person (AEP)</strong> and supervise maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities in live operational facilities.</p><br><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><br><p><strong>Electrical Maintenance &amp; Testing</strong></p><br><ul><li><p>Perform <strong>preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance</strong> on high‑voltage equipment (up to 220 kV), including:</p><br><ul><li><p>Power transformers</p><br></li><li><p>Circuit breakers (AIS)</p><br></li><li><p>Disconnectors, CTs, VTs, surge arresters</p><br></li></ul></li><li><p>Conduct <strong>high‑voltage testing</strong>, such as:</p><br><ul><li><p>Insulation resistance (IR) and polarization index tests</p><br></li><li><p>Contact resistance and winding resistance tests</p><br></li><li><p>Tan delta, SF₆ testing, and breaker timing tests</p><br></li></ul></li><li><p>Evaluate and interpret <strong>test results</strong> to assess equipment condition, serviceability, and remaining life.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>Substations &amp; Overhead Lines</strong></p><br><ul><li><p>Maintain and inspect <strong>220 kV AIS substations</strong>, ensuring compliance with operating and safety standards.</p><br></li><li><p>Supervise inspection and maintenance of <strong>overhead transmission lines (OHL)</strong>, towers, insulators, conductors, and fittings.</p><br></li><li><p>Coordinate shutdowns, isolations, earthing, and restoration activities in operational (brownfield) installations.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>Protection, Control &amp; Commissioning</strong></p><br><ul><li><p>Maintain and test <strong>protection &amp; control systems</strong>, including relays, interlocks, and SCADA interfaces.</p><br></li><li><p>Support <strong>commissioning and re‑commissioning</strong> of HV assets following maintenance or upgrades.</p><br></li><li><p>Verify protection schemes and ensure correct coordination and functionality.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></p><br><ul><li><p>Act as <strong>Authorized Electrical Person (AEP)</strong>, ensuring strict adherence to HV safety rules and permit‑to‑work systems.</p><br></li><li><p>Lead risk assessments, method statements, and job safety analyses.</p><br></li><li><p>Ensure full compliance with company procedures, regulatory standards, and industry best practices related to HV operations.</p><br></li><li><p>Promote a strong <strong>safety culture</strong> and ensure hazard awareness among staff and contractors.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>Supervision &amp;
