The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of hands-on experience in simulation, modeling, and performance optimization for gas fields, with a proven track record using Petrel, ECLIPSE, and INTERSECT (FRONTSIM is a plus) . The role requires onsite delivery in Bahrain and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><h2>A senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer:</h2><ul><li>Is a fully qualified professional Reservoir Engineer, with a minimum of Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering, but preferably Master and above</li><li>Is a professional that can demonstrate in excess of a minimum of 15 years of activity in reservoir Simulation and modeling</li><li>Can demonstrate a variety of technical assignments requiring familiarity with a broad field of reservoir Engineering and knowledge of other domains: Petrophysics, Geophysics and modeling</li><li>Can demonstrate an intimate knowledge of the subsurface analysis PVT analysis, SCAL modeling and Historical production interpretation.</li><li>Typical activities involve: Fundamental reservoir engineering analysis including material Balance, DCA and Well forecasting. PVT analysis for both Black oil and composition simulation including EoS matching. Relative permeability modeling, normalization and end point scaling Capillary pressure modeling including hysteresis History matching using experimental design and AI concept Basic EOR experience with strong simulation capabilities.</li><li>He/she participates in and works on reservoir studies for clients with the objective of creating history matching models that are suitable for prospect evaluation, dynamic fluid flow simulation and/or well placement planning.</li><li>He/she works in a team environment with petrophysicists, geophysicists and Modeler. Reservoir simulation engineer is the pivot between these disciplines who integrates the Geophysical, Petrophysical and Modelling.</li><li>The Reservoir Simulation Engineer: Applies broad knowledge and brings experience to identify problems. Balances priorities and interfaces with internal/external customers to ensure expectations are met within the confines of policies, technical and professional limits. Makes independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions. Difficult, complex or unusual matters or decisions are usually referred to a more senior authority. Keeps others informed of actions and reasons behind them.</li></ul><h2>Requirements</h2><h3>Software skills</h3><ul><li>Has a proven record of working with Petrel, ECLIPSE and INTERSECT. FRONTSIM is a plus</li><li>knows the Petrel Reservoir Engineering software: Uncertainty analysis and Optimization History Matching Analysis Petrel Upscaling</li></ul><h3>Previous Experience and Competencies:</h3><ul><li>Education: Bachelor s Degree, master s degree or other higher Degree in Petroleum / chemical engineering or Pure or Applied math. <p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of Graving Dock and Floating Docks, ensuring the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible maneuvering, docking, positioning, and undocking of vessels. The position oversees dock operations, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards, and maintains the docks and associated equipment in operational condition.</p><br><p><strong>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><br><p><strong>A. Dock Operations</strong></p><ul><li><p>Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Graving Dock and Floating Docks.</p></li><li><p>Follow the approved docking schedule and instructions from the Department Head.</p></li><li><p>Receive and review vessel docking plans from the Project Realization Division.</p></li><li><p>Plan and coordinate dock preparation, including block arrangements, cranes, mooring trolley cars, stoppers, winches, and other required equipment.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with the Movement Master to assess vessel draft, ballast distribution, mooring arrangements, personnel requirements, and equipment deployment before docking.</p></li><li><p>Ensure the required number of riggers and other personnel are available in accordance with approved safe operating and departmental procedures.</p></li><li><p>Take control of the vessel from the Dock Movement Master once the vessel is safely inside the dock, position the vessel accurately, and ensure it is safely seated on the blocks.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate the closing of the Graving Dock gate and operation of winches during docking activities.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Pump House Operators and Floating Dock Operators during dewatering operations.</p></li><li><p>Instruct and coordinate divers, where required, to verify the vessel’s position relative to the blocks.</p></li><li><p>Control and coordinate crane movements, wire passing, and mooring rope handling during docking operations.</p></li><li><p>Ensure docking and undocking activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures.</p></li><li><p>During undocking, ensure the relevant operations are carried out in reverse sequence and formally hand over control to the Dock Movement Master once the vessel is clear and ready to leave the dock.</p></li><li><p>Maintain operations timing record.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>B. Work Planning & Coordination</strong></p><ul><li><p>Plan and program dock operations based on the repair schedule and instructions received from the Department Head and Ship Repair Division.</p></li><li><p>Conduct daily meetings when its required with Dock Supervisors to review work progress, provide technical guidance, and establish priorities.</p></li><li><p>Monitor the progress of dock activities and outstanding repair-related works.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate continuously with Ship Coordinators and Owners’ Representatives regarding docking, undocking, and related operational requirements.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with relevant Production and Technical Departments to ensure resources and support are available as required.</p></li><li><p>Recommend overtime requirements where necessary to meet operational and project schedules.</p></li><li><p>Ensure completion of dock-related activities within agreed schedules and required quality standards.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>C. Safety, Quality & Compliance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Ensure safe working practices are maintained throughout all dock operations.</p></li><li><p>Ensure employees use the required personal protective equipment and comply with applicable safety procedures.</p></li><li><p>Apply, implement, and maintain the requirements of the Company’s Management Systems.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with applicable Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, Security Management System for Supply Chain (SMSSC), and Information Security Management System (ISMS) requirements.</p></li><li><p>Ensure dock operations comply with recognized industry practices, Company policies, procedures, and the QEHS&S Manual and Policy.</p></li><li><p>Identify operational risks and take appropriate preventive and corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employees to actively participate in safety and operational improvements.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>D. Dock Maintenance & Equipment</strong></p><ul><li><p>Ensure the Graving Dock and Floating Docks, including associated facilities and equipment, are maintained in safe and operational condition.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with relevant Yard Operations Departments for maintenance, repair, and servicing requirements.</p></li><li><p>Monitor the condition and availability of dock equipment and ensure deficiencies are reported and addressed promptly.</p></li><li><p>Ensure operational equipment is available and fit for purpose before commencement of docking and undocking operations.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>E. People Management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Supervise and provide direction to Dock Supervisors, Dock Operators, Electricians, Mechanics, Work Preparators, Dock Workers, Carpenters/Insulators, and Cleaners.</p></li><li><p>Provide technical guidance and support to subordinate employees.</p></li><li><p>Allocate work and establish priorities according to operational requirements.</p></li><li><p>Encourage teamwork, employee participation, and continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Recommend disciplinary action, where necessary, in accordance with Company rules and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Identify training and competency requirements within the section and support employee development.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>F. Budget & Resource Management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist the Department Head in preparing and monitoring the Dock Section budget.</p></li><li><p>Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and service requirements.</p></li><li><p>Ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize unnecessary costs.</p></li><li><p>Support effective planning and control of dock-related expenditures.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>G. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Working individually and as part of a team to cover an assigned set of funds as a knowledgeable and professional point of contact for fund investors, fund managers and internal teams regarding fund documentation, investor registries and AML/KYC processing. Possess good understanding and knowledge of AML/KYC laws and guidelines set out by appropriate MENA Regulators, CIMA and Apex AML Policies (If it s an internal hire) and adhere to these established policies, procedure and controls Knowledge of Bermuda and BVI AML/KYC laws will be an added advantage Should have knowledge of the all the Transfer Agency functions including AML/KYC and investor onboarding, Share Registry Dealings, Metrosoft screening, Payments, FATCA/CRS filings etc. Should coordinate with the appropriate operations and CRM teams involved in order to ensure tasks are completed Possess a basic Understanding of Fund structures - share classes vs. series and understand the NAV per share so as to enable publishing the correct prices to various pricing vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morning Star etc. Basic understanding of accounting related to subscriptions, redemptions, distributions and ensure investor communications are released in line with procedures and deadlines are met Establish a good relationship with FA teams and establish the workflow/procedures to ensure the FA team is updated at all times in relation to any TA activity to be included in the NAV Responsible for Fund audits in relation to any TA related PBC requirements Have a good command on the English language and possess good written and communication skills. Understanding of Arabic (written and speaking) will be an added advantage. Possess good email etiquettes as the candidate will be communicating with the investors and clients Confident in communicating with investors and handle any situations that arise in line with Apex s policies Should be able to read and understand and provide comments on the TA related aspects in a Funds PPM including coordinating with the Corporate Secretary for any waivers, Board Resolutions required in relation to any TA activity.
