<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of Graving Dock and Floating Docks, ensuring the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible maneuvering, docking, positioning, and undocking of vessels. The position oversees dock operations, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards, and maintains the docks and associated equipment in operational condition.</p><br><p><strong>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><br><p><strong>A. Dock Operations</strong></p><ul><li><p>Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Graving Dock and Floating Docks.</p></li><li><p>Follow the approved docking schedule and instructions from the Department Head.</p></li><li><p>Receive and review vessel docking plans from the Project Realization Division.</p></li><li><p>Plan and coordinate dock preparation, including block arrangements, cranes, mooring trolley cars, stoppers, winches, and other required equipment.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with the Movement Master to assess vessel draft, ballast distribution, mooring arrangements, personnel requirements, and equipment deployment before docking.</p></li><li><p>Ensure the required number of riggers and other personnel are available in accordance with approved safe operating and departmental procedures.</p></li><li><p>Take control of the vessel from the Dock Movement Master once the vessel is safely inside the dock, position the vessel accurately, and ensure it is safely seated on the blocks.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate the closing of the Graving Dock gate and operation of winches during docking activities.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Pump House Operators and Floating Dock Operators during dewatering operations.</p></li><li><p>Instruct and coordinate divers, where required, to verify the vessel’s position relative to the blocks.</p></li><li><p>Control and coordinate crane movements, wire passing, and mooring rope handling during docking operations.</p></li><li><p>Ensure docking and undocking activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures.</p></li><li><p>During undocking, ensure the relevant operations are carried out in reverse sequence and formally hand over control to the Dock Movement Master once the vessel is clear and ready to leave the dock.</p></li><li><p>Maintain operations timing record.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>B. <p><span>The Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact IT projects across Bapco Energies. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the strategic objectives of the organization. The Project Manager will closely coordinate with the enterprise architect, process architect, information architect, and business units to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.</span></p><br><br>Bapco Energies operates a portfolio spanning the entire energy value chain in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The portfolio includes wholly-owned subsidiaries and specialized operating companies. Together, these companies drive Bapco Energies' mission to power the next generation.<br>Responsibilities:<br><ul><li><span><strong>Strategic Project Leadership:</strong> Lead the development of comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Ensure that project plans align with the strategic goals of Bapco Energies and support the overall business strategy.</span></li><li><span><strong>Autonomous Execution & Delivery:</strong> Take full ownership of the execution of IT projects, managing project teams, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. Monitor project progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed, with minimal supervision.</span></li><li><span><strong>Stakeholder Management:</strong> Engage with key stakeholders, including the enterprise architect, process architect, information architect, and business units, to communicate project status, risks, and issues. Provide regular updates and reports to ensure transparency and alignment.</span></li><li><span><strong>Strategic Risk Management:</strong> Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of risks on project delivery, making strategic decisions to navigate challenges.</span></li><li><span><strong>Budget Oversight:</strong> Manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints. Monitor and report on budget performance, making strategic adjustments as necessary.</span></li><li><span><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong> Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. Implement quality control processes and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance.</span></li><li><span><strong>Continuous Improvement: </strong>Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the project management function. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.</span></li><li><span><strong>Mentorship & Leadership:</strong> Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.</span></li><li><span><strong>Risk Management:</strong> Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with projects. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of risks on change implementation.</span></li><li><span><strong>Reporting:</strong> Prepare and present regular reports on activities and KPIs to senior management. A Master's degree is preferred.</span></p><br></li><li><p><span>Professional certifications such as Prosci, PMP are preferred.</span></p><br></li><li><p><span>Minimum 7 years of total work experience in the IT industry, with at least 5 years of experience in IT project management, or a related role within the energy sector.</span></p><br></li></ul> </div>
