<span>Safety Officer Department: HSSE Location: Bahrain Role Summary The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies across project sites to ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.<br> The role focuses on identifying workplace hazards, promoting a strong safety culture, conducting inspections and investigations, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.<br> Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and potential hazards.<br> Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.<br> Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and injuries, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.<br> Maintain records and statistics related to occupational injuries, accidents, and safety performance.<br> Monitor the availability, condition, and maintenance of fire prevention systems, firefighting equipment, and emergency response facilities.<br> Conduct periodic inspections of safety equipment and maintain inspection records.<br> Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures to eliminate or minimize workplace hazards.<br> Ensure proper selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).<br> Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and training programs to promote a positive safety culture.<br> Develop and implement annual safety awareness plans, including seminars, workshops, posters, and safety communications.<br> Participate in occupational health and safety committee meetings.<br> Provide guidance and advice on HSE matters to employees, supervisors, and management.<br> Monitor compliance with environmental and occupational health requirements on project sites.<br> Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning.<br> Qualifications & Skills NEBOSH Level 3 Certification or equivalent recognized safety qualification.<br> Academic qualifications relevant to Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field.<br> Certification and competencies approved by relevant labor and regulatory authorities where applicable.<br> Strong knowledge of Bahrain labor laws and occupational health and safety regulations.<br> Minimum 3 years of HSE experience within the construction industry.<br> Experience working on construction sites with exposure to high-risk activities.<br> Proven experience in conducting inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.<br> Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and practices.<br> Familiarity with hazards related to construction activities, including fire, electrical, noise, radiation, manual handling, and hazardous substances.<br> Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.<br> Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation measures.<br> Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to compile and interpret safety statistics.<br> Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.<br> Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.<br> Proficient in preparing reports, safety documentation, and records.<br></span> </div>

<span>Safety Inspector Division: HSSE Location: Bahrain Role Summary The Safety Inspector is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment across construction projects by ensuring compliance with company HSSE policies, client requirements, and applicable local regulations.<br> The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring work activities, identifying hazards, supporting incident prevention initiatives, and fostering a strong safety culture to protect employees, subcontractors, visitors, and project assets.<br> Key Responsibilities Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with company HSSE policies, project requirements, and applicable legal regulations.<br> Monitor construction activities to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.<br> Carry out daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns to promote safe working practices.<br> Verify that work permits, risk assessments (RA), job safety analyses (JSA), and method statements are in place before high-risk activities commence.<br> Inspect scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation works, confined spaces, work at height, electrical works, and other high-risk activities for compliance with safety standards.<br> Ensure that all personnel use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with site safety requirements.<br> Report safety observations, near misses, incidents, and non-conformities, and assist in incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.<br> Monitor emergency preparedness, including fire prevention measures, emergency equipment, evacuation procedures, and emergency drills.<br> Maintain accurate HSSE records, inspection reports, safety statistics, and documentation.<br> Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve safety issues and improve overall site performance.<br> Support the implementation of company health, safety, security, and environmental initiatives across all project activities.<br> Promote environmental protection by monitoring waste management, pollution prevention, housekeeping, and compliance with environmental procedures.<br> Participate in internal and external HSSE audits and assist in closing audit findings.<br> Encourage proactive reporting of hazards and contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's HSSE management system.<br> Qualifications, Skills & Experience Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.<br> Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Inspector or Safety Officer within the construction industry.<br> Experience in civil, building, infrastructure, industrial, or marine construction projects is preferred.<br> Professional certification such as NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory; IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certifications are advantageous.<br> Good knowledge of local occupational health and safety regulations and international HSSE standards.<br> Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is an advantage.<br> Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response procedures.<br> Experience in conducting safety inspections, audits, and preparing HSSE reports.<br> Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all organizational levels.<br> Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital HSSE reporting systems.<br> Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.<br> Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.<br> Willingness to work on construction sites and travel between project locations as required.<br></span> </div>
