Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior accounting staff, enhancing their technical and professional skills.
Financial Operations & Reporting:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly closures and reconciliations of financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and disclosures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, monitoring variances and recommending corrective actions.
Cost Accounting & Production Oversight:
- Oversee factory and production accounting, including cost tracking, analysis, and reporting.
- Implement effective cost management and tracking processes to optimize production efficiency.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and prepare periodic cost and productivity reports.
- Identify areas for improvement in product and manufacturing costing, providing recommendations to management.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
Financial Analysis & Decision Support:
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.
- Offer recommendations on cost savings, financial performance, and profitability to drive strategic initiatives.
- Prepare reports comparing factors affecting pricing and profitability.
Tax Compliance & ERP Implementation:
- Oversee corporate, direct, and indirect tax compliance and planning.
- Participate in ERP system implementation, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of financial processes.
Skills
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA certification preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 1 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Expertise in cost accounting, production accounting, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
