Company Description<br>Job Description<br><p>VAM Systems is currently looking for Power BI Engineer (Offshore) for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions:<br>
Education:</p><br><p>• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.</p><br><p>Professional Experience:</p><br><p>Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence and data analytics, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.</p><br><p>Certifications:</p><br><p>• Professional certifications in Microsoft Power BI or equivalent BI platforms are preferred.</p><br><p>Technical Proficiency:</p><br><p>• Advanced expertise in data visualization and statistical plotting using tools such as Power BI, Python, and Matlab.<br>
• Strong command of SQL for querying, data modeling, and ETL development.<br>
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with platforms like SAS and Microsoft SQL Server.<br>
• Familiarity with cloud-based BI platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a strong advantage.<br>
• Experience in Python and statistical programming, with exposure to AI/ML tools, algorithms, and methods.</p><br><p>Analytical & Modeling Skills:</p><br><p>• Proven ability to work with large-scale datasets and deliver production-grade analytics solutions.<br>
• Skilled in data preparation, including rationalizing, classifying, deriving, and calculating model input variables.<br>
• Experience applying natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques to unstructured data is a plus.</p><br><p>Business Acumen:</p><br><p>• Demonstrated capability to translate business objectives into analytical use cases and recommend optimal statistical approaches.<br>
• Experience in managing BI and analytics projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.<br>
Key Responsibilities</p><br><p>• Participate in defining and maintaining the Treasury analytics and reporting roadmap, aligned with business priorities and strategy<br>
• Establish a structured framework for data consumption, reporting, and dashboard evolution<br>
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance analytics maturity and reporting capabilities<br>
• Collaborate with Treasury stakeholders (e.g., Trading, ALM, Investments, Risk) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications<br>
• Translate business needs into clear analytics use cases, KPIs, and reporting requirements<br>
• Identify high-value analytical opportunities to support decision-making</p><br><p>Detailed Breakdown<br>
Dashboard Development & Analytics Delivery (Core Focus)</p><br><p>• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using Power BI and other BI tools</p><br><p>Ensure solutions are:</p><br><p>• Dynamic and scenario-driven (what-if analysis, simulations, sensitivity analysis)<br>
• User-friendly, with drill-down and self-service capabilities</p><br><p>• Build and maintain semantic data models and OLAP structures to enable scalable self-service analytics<br>
• Continuously enhance dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business needs<br>
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of dashboards and reporting outputs</p><br><p>Insights, Analytics & Advanced Capabilities</p><br><p>• Develop actionable insights and analytics outputs relevant to Treasury, Investments, and Financial Institutions<br>
• Provide data-driven recommendations and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences<br>
• Simplify complex analytics into actionable business insights for decision-making</p><br><p>Explore and implement:</p><br><p>• Automation of reporting and insight generation<br>

Data Management & Integration</p><br><p>• Coordinate with internal teams (IT, data engineering, finance systems) to:<br>

• Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., EDW, APIs, flat files) into unified models<br>
• Ensure data is structured to support efficient reporting and analytics delivery within the Treasury function<br>
• Optimize SQL queries and ETL processes for performance and scalability</p><br><p>Data Quality & Governance (Treasury Scope)</p><br><p>• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and limitations, and work with upstream providers to improve data quality<br>
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies (within Treasury scope)<br>
• Maintain proper documentation of data sources, transformations, and reporting logic</p><br><p>Stakeholder Enablement & Team Contribution</p><br><p>• Provide training and support to business users on BI tools and data interpretation<br>
• Communicate insights effectively to senior leadership and end users<br>

This includes system imaging, software installation, configuration, and data migration. <br>•Configure systems per baseline image specifications, ensuring all new devices are set up with the required applications, operating systems, and security setting in accordance with Government policies. <br>•Deploy PCs by unboxing equipment, disposing of packaging materials, and transporting systems to buildings throughout the worksite. <br>•Maintain detailed records of the refresh process in remedy tickets, adhering to all work instructions for ticket management. <br>•Complete break-fix actions for EUHW devices, adhering to all work instructions and documenting work in tickets. <br>•Complete seat returns for EUHW devices, adhering to all work instructions and documenting work in tickets.<br>•Communicate with regional lead(s) and on-site end-user POCs to execute system replacements, break-fix actions, and device returns. <br>•Assist with the overall coordination of the EUHWaaS task, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
