Job Description<br><p>VAM Systems is currently looking for System Developer for our Bahrain operations .</p><br><p>Qualifications & Experience</p><br><p>Strong professional experience in Laravel/PHP development and related frameworks.</p><br><p>Hands‑on expertise in backend, frontend, and API security.</p><br><p>Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality code repositories with testing and documentation.</p><br><p>Relevant professional certifications in software development, cloud, or DevOps tools (preferred).</p><br><p>Experience working in collaborative environments, with strong communication and teamwork skills.</p><br><p>Key Responsibilities</p><br><p>· Develop and maintain applications using Laravel Core & PHP 8.x (OOP, MVC, Routing, Middleware, Artisan CLI).</p><br><p>· Design and optimize backend systems with Eloquent ORM, migrations, and seeders.</p><br><p>· Implement frontend integration using Blade templating, JavaScript (Vue.js/React), and CSS frameworks (Bootstrap).</p><br><p>· Build and secure RESTful APIs with authentication (Sanctum/Passport) and protection against vulnerabilities (SQL injection, CSRF).</p><br><p>· Ensure clean code practices (PSR standards), documentation, and automated testing.</p><br><p>· Collaborate with teams via Git, explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, and contribute to project success.</p><br><p>· Troubleshoot and debug complex performance bottlenecks.</p><br><p>· Support DevOps activities including Docker, Laravel Forge, CI/CD pipelines, and application troubleshooting in AWS Cloud.</p><br><p>Preferred Skills</p><br><p>· Problem‑solving and debugging complex issues.</p><br><p>· Familiarity with AWS Cloud environments for deployment and troubleshooting.</p><br><p>· Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker).</p><br><p>· Strong portfolio showcasing GitLab/GitHub repositories with clean, documented code.</p><br><p>The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems – Bahrain and shall be deputed to one of the leading Organizations in Bahrain.</p><br><br><br> </div>
<p>Leads the strategy, installation, deployment, security, and ongoing management of all technology infrastructure for the luxury property during its pre-opening phase and into full operations. The role acts as the primary technical authority ensuring all hotel infrastructure meets Kempinski brand standards, local data regulations, and municipal compliance.</p><p><strong>Pre-Opening Technology Deployment & Handover</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the complete lifecycle of IT setup, including hardware installation, software configuration, system integration, and rigorous testing prior to launch.</li><li>Deploy core hospitality systems: Opera PMS , Simphony POS , Revenue Management Systems (RMS), Electronic Keycard Access, Guest Wi-Fi (HSIA), PABX/Telephony, and IPTV systems.</li><li>Work closely with MEP contractors, network consultants, and site developers during cable laying, server room setup, network rack installation, and commissioning.</li></ul><p><strong>Infrastructure, Uptime & Operations</strong></p><ul><li>Design and implement local high-availability network architectures (Cisco networking, Microsoft Server environments, VLANs, and firewall configurations).</li><li>Establish preventive maintenance and 24/7 technical support operations to ensure continuous system uptime across guest and Back-of-House (BOH) zones.</li></ul><p><strong>Data Security, Compliance & Disaster Recovery</strong></p><ul><li>Implement end-to-end cybersecurity protocols, role-based access controls, data backup frameworks, and business continuity/disaster recovery plans.</li><li>Ensure strict adherence to Kempinski corporate IT standards, PCI-DSS payment security compliance, and Bahrain local data protection regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>Vendor, Procurement & Budget Management</strong></p><ul><li>Administer vendor SLAs, software licensing, system warranties, and maintenance contracts.</li><li>Manage departmental Operating Expenses (OpEx) and pre-opening Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budgets for all hardware and tech acquisitions.</li></ul><p><strong>User Support, Training & Team Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Recruit, onboard, and train the IT support team.</li><li>Establish helpdesk workflows and deliver hotel-wide staff training on PMS/POS usage, core operational software, and cybersecurity awareness.</li></ul><p>Kempinski emphasises talent development and offers career progression within its global network, with properties in over 30 countries. Proven pre-opening hotel installation experience is strongly preferred.</p><p>Technical Mastery: Core Hospitality Systems: Opera PMS, Oracle Simphony POS, Guest Wi-Fi management, IPTV, PABX. Network Infrastructure: Cisco switches/routers, enterprise firewalls, VLAN structuring, server virtualization (Hyper-V / VMware), Active Directory.</p><p>Regional/Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Middle East / GCC telecom standards and Bahrain data privacy laws.</p><p>Languages: Business fluency in English is mandatory; conversational Arabic is an advantage.</p>
<p>VAM Systems is currently looking for Network Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Minimum of a bachelor s degree in BIS, computer science or equivalent. Specialized certification in Cisco CCNA, CCNP, AWS Networks, Fortinet or equivalent for networking Routing and Switching, Firewalls and Cloud technology Work experience in network support and security field of at least 2 years, in configuring network firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers Ability to troubleshoot of network issues with different teams, entities, ISP and vendors Working on vulnerabilities security patching by performing node firmware upgrade planning and execution and doing security configuration hardening.
