<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><ul><li>Assist surgeons during cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, ensuring a sterile and efficient operating environment to minimize complications.</li><li>Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education, including detailed instructions on wound care, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments for optimal recovery.</li><li>Administer medications, including IV fluids and injections, as prescribed by physicians, accurately and safely, adhering to all protocols.</li><li>Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status, recognizing and addressing any adverse reactions or complications promptly.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in nursing principles.</li><li>Hold a valid nursing license in Bahrain or be eligible for licensure, confirming legal authorization to practice nursing in the country.</li><li>Have certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), ensuring the ability to manage medical emergencies effectively.</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a dermatology or plastic surgery clinic or related setting, showcasing practical expertise in the field.</li></ul><p></p></section>
<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Specifically, the duties of this post will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Take responsibility for directing, coordinating, teaching and assessing across assigned modules/programmes (theoretical and practice modules)</li>
<li>Mentor students and monitor student assessment and progress</li>
<li>Engage with academic staff of the School of Nursing & Midwifery to enhance education and research capacity within the School</li>
<li>Employ a collaborative ethos in all aspects of academic practice</li>
<li>Undertake collaborative research internally and with external stakeholders/partner hospitals that complements and develops the School's academic status and reputation, and contributes to nursing practice and education</li>
<li>Competently discharge administrative responsibilities and participate in university governance structures as directed by the Head of the School of Nursing & Midwifery</li>
<li>Assume responsibility for the planning and delivery of education in other academic areas as assigned by the Head of the School of Nursing & Midwifery</li>
<li>Participate in Community Engagement In accordance with the RCSI Bahrain Strategy</li>
<li>Comply with statutory legislation and department rules and requirements in furtherance of your own, staff and student's welfare and safety</li>
<li>Represent the best interest of RCSI at all times by enhancing the School's reputation in both nursing practice, teaching and research</li>
<li>Undertake assignments external to RCSI/Bahrain as may be required from time to time.</li>

<ul>
<li>Is a registered Adult Nurse and educated to Master's Level.</li>
<li>Has previous experience in teaching, assessing and managing students in an academic environment.</li>
<li>Is developing a track record in nursing/health services research as evidenced by publications in the areabr</li>
<li>Expertise and experience in adult nursing, research, evidence-based practice in nursing and healthcare teaching.</li>
<li>Has excellent computer, library searching, presentation and verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Has personal drive, energy and enthusiasm to deliver and inspire the achievement of excellent results.</li>
<li>Has a strong commitment to quality improvement.</li>
<li>Has a high degree of self-motivation.</li>
<li>Requires minimum direction, high personal energy, and a positive approach to dealing with challenges and ambiguity.</li>
<li>Has flexibility in work arrangements, including undertaking overseas assignments as required.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Person Specification: Desirable</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in being a year, module or subject lead or director.</li>
<li>Has a recognised specialist nursing qualification, which compliments the portfolio of programmes delivered in the School.</li>
<li>Educated to Doctoral level.</li>
<li>Has experience in supervision of MSc and Doctoral level students.</li>
<li>Has contributed to the development of specialist nursing practice in terms of education, practice development and research.</li>
<li>Mentoring and supervising colleagues in Lecturer and Clinical Educator positions.</li>
