System Administrator

<p><h4>Responsibilities of the role</h4> <p>Reporting to the Automation Lead, the job holder will be responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Manage all IT operations jobs like End of Days, Start of Days, file transfers, etc. via Control-M.</li> <li>Control-M application software installation, configuration, deployment, and upgrades.</li> <li>Advise on improving the way of working by bringing an automation-based perspective, proactively suggesting areas of improvement.</li> <li>Ensure all the Control-M components are always designed and implemented with a high availability concept and increase overall process resiliency.</li> <li>Should work with operating systems like Solaris, Linux, AIX, and Windows.</li> <li>Scripting on various platforms and languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to automate operations within Control-M jobs.</li> <li>Install and manage Control-M modules, i.e., Control-M for backups, Control-M for OS, Control-M for database, Control-M for applications.</li> <li>Install Control-M Server, Enterprise Manager, and agents (Windows, Unix, and Linux) along with monitoring and troubleshooting.</li> <li>Keep everything documented and all documents constantly up-to-date to keep the team aware of how procedures are running.</li> <li>Manage the complete Control-M infrastructure in the bank, including installation, upgrade, and configuration of Control-M Workload Automation tool version 8/9+ and future versions.</li> <li>Run all operation tasks on all banking applications including development, test, UAT/SIT, and production environments.</li> <li>Automate the above operations and other tasks under Control-M to the maximum extent.</li> <li>Document all tasks configured under Control-M with contingency plans for running the above jobs manually in case Control-M is not available.</li> <li>Utilize the full functionality available under Control-M to innovate and improve all tasks running in GPH.</li> <li>Configure reports on Control-M to report on all operations being performed under Control-M to higher management.</li> <li>Enhance the reports available in Control-M or build custom reports by using third-party tools like Crystal Report.</li> <li>Integrate Control-M with backup software to make backups part of the End of Day workflow.</li> <li>Be part of the operations team for smooth running of operations in GPH.</li> <li>Be part of the project team to automate tasks on new products.</li> <li>Support any disaster recovery and business continuity test activities.</li> <li>Monitor alerts and ensure service availability 24x7.</li> <li>Coordinate patch and vulnerabilities management.</li> <li>Willing to work in shifts (8-hour shifts rotated weekly).</li> </ul> <h4>Areas of knowledge, qualification and experience</h4> <ul> <li>2-5 years of proven IT operations experience with Unix/Linux and Windows system administration, with 2+ years programming experience and proficiency in Unix shell (Korn, C, Bash) scripting.</li> <li>A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.</li> <li>Solid experience working as a Control-M scheduler in a distributed environment of Windows/Linux/Solaris/AIX.</li> <li>Knowledge of Crystal Report and other tools to generate customized reports on end of day and other banking operations from Control-M.</li> <li>Experience working in financial services, banking, or other fast-paced 24/7 regulated financial organizations.</li> <li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong documentation and automation skills.</li> <li>Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent problem resolution skills.</li> <li>Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Data center operations experience in monitoring, incident handling, and escalation for Control-M jobs.</li> <li>Database knowledge of Oracle/SQL, IT certifications, and other certifications like ITIL, PMP, etc.</li> <li>Experience with hybrid cloud environments and certifications on AWS or Azure.</li> </ul></p><p></p>

<p><h4>Job requirements</h4> <p>Responsible for mapping user stories to deliver scope and business value of a given feature as defined by a product owner. Conducting detailed analysis for user stories. Working closely with the development team to explain and elaborate stories and ensure that the acceptance criteria are clearly and unambiguously stated. Supporting the team through development, providing domain expertise as required.</p> <p>Responsible for designing, developing, testing and delivering high quality software/solutions. Creates and reviews product/project deliverables according to the life cycle methodologies (i.e., impact assessments, external and internal specifications, manuals, education material, etc.). Researches and resolves customer reported problems. Maintains working knowledge of the hardware platform, network and application layers. Manages the software dependencies for use in implementing proper solutions.</p> <p>Exhibits good technical and business judgment and thorough understanding of how customers use the product when dealing with product requirements, complex design issues, and tradeoffs. Strong communication skills to represent and collaborate in remote environment.</p> <p>Supervising day-to-day operation, covering client’s requirements and cases troubleshooting.</p> <p>Design and development of middleware solutions using TIBCO suite of products (BusinessWorks, Enterprise Messaging Service).</p> <p>Supervising multiple projects with all schemes from technical point of view.</p> <p>Supervising testing and QA activities.</p> <p>Checking schemes compliance updates and fix data integrity non-compliance.</p> <p>Developing adapters using TIBCO BusinessWorks.</p> <p>Advanced expertise in TIBCO products – BW, EMS, RV, ActiveSpaces, SAP Adapter, API Exchange.</p> <p>Must have a strong understanding of the design, development and deployment of business intelligence systems and large-scale data warehouses using BI tools and commercial database platforms like Oracle, SQL Server and Teradata.</p> <p>Hands-on development using Tableau/TIBCO Spotfire to create dashboards and reports and use them as standard templates.</p> <p>Define and manage schema objects for Tableau/TIBCO Spotfire projects.</p> <p>Immerse in development/analysis work as part of the larger ESB/SOA team.</p> <p>Conduct module and integration testing according to process standards.</p> <p>Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.</p> <p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to understand requirements and ensure successful project delivery.</p> <p>Monitor and optimize the performance of TIBCO middleware solutions, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues.</p> <h4>Education/Certifications:</h4> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.</li> </ul> <h4>Experience:</h4> <ul> <li>Good understanding of cards domain and platforms.</li> <li>Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience with TIBCO middleware products, including TIBCO BusinessWorks, TIBCO EMS, TIBCO ActiveMatrix, and other relevant TIBCO technologies.</li> <li>Payment domain knowledge.</li> <li>Hands-on Agile methodology.</li> </ul> <h4>Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:</h4> <ul> <li>Ability to effectively multi-task and juggle multiple responsibilities at once.</li> <li>Keen attention to detail for ensuring the project meets all the business standards and goals.</li> <li>Basic data analysis and/or technical skills to analyze complex business data utilizing automated tools and help identify problems will also be beneficial.</li> <li>Excellent command of the English language.</li> </ul></p><p></p>
