<p>To operate the Universal Front-end Loader (UFD) for the safe and efficient removal, transportation, and disposal of slag generated during steel production processes. This role is critical to maintaining operational continuity, safety, and environmental compliance within the steel plant.</p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Operate UFD loader to remove slag from furnaces, ladles, and designated slag pits.</li><li>Transport slag to designated disposal or processing areas in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.</li><li>Monitor slag cooling and solidification processes to ensure safe handling.</li><li>Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of the UFD loader to ensure optimal performance and safety.</li><li>Coordinate with furnace operators and production teams to ensure timely slag removal without disrupting operations.</li><li>Maintain clear communication with control room and yard personnel for efficient workflow.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation of slag quantities and disposal records.</li><li>Identify and report any abnormalities in slag composition or equipment performance.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and safety of slag handling areas.</li><li>Adhere strictly to PPE requirements and safety protocols, especially in high-temperature zones.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>High level of safety awareness and risk management. Ability to operate heavy equipment in high-temperature and hazardous environments. Strong communication and coordination skills. Physical stamina and resilience to work in demanding conditions. Problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to operational needs.</p><p>Qualifications & Experience:</p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy-duty loaders in steel manufacturing or similar heavy industrial environments.</li><li>Proven experience in slag handling and removal operations is highly preferred.</li><li>Valid heavy equipment operator license/certification.</li><li>Familiarity with steelmaking processes, especially EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) or BOF (Basic Oxygen Furnace) operations.</li><li>Basic mechanical and hydraulic systems knowledge.</li></ul>
<p>To operate various types of forklifts with capacities ranging from 2 tons to 30 tons, ensuring the safe and efficient handling, transportation, and storage of steel products such as coils, billets, sheets, and structural components. Key Responsibilities: Operate different forklift types. Safely load, unload, and transport steel materials within the facility and yard. Handle long and oversized steel items such as beams, pipes, and coils. Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs. Ensure proper stacking and storage to prevent damage and maintain safety. Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet operational targets. Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory. Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE at all times. Assist in general warehouse duties when required. Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. Ability to operate various forklift types confidently and efficiently. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments. Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 5 years of experience operating forklifts in a heavy industrial or steel manufacturing environment.</li><li>Valid forklift operator license/certification for multiple forklift types.</li><li>Experience handling heavy and oversized steel products.</li></ul>
