Job Title: Area Manager – Fashion & Footwear Brands

Job Overview: As an Area Manager for our Fashion & Footwear Brands, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations, sales, and performance of multiple retail stores within a designated region. You will lead and support store managers and their teams to achieve sales targets, uphold brand standards, and provide a superior customer experience. The role requires a proactive, strategic, and results-driven approach to ensure the success of each store while promoting the brand’s growth in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations of all stores within the designated area.
- Ensure stores are running efficiently and in line with company standards and policies.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Monitor and manage store stock levels to optimize inventory and minimize losses.
- Ensure proper store maintenance and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Sales & Performance Management:
- Drive sales performance across the stores within your area.
- Analyze store sales data and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability.
- Set and monitor performance goals for store managers and sales teams.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess performance and provide feedback.
- Implement promotional and marketing strategies to increase footfall and conversion rates.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of store managers and staff.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure high levels of staff performance and engagement.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding for store-level staff.
Customer Experience & Brand Representation:
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently in all stores.
- Act as the brand ambassador, promoting the fashion and footwear brand’s values, culture, and reputation.
- Address customer concerns and escalations promptly and professionally.
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the latest products, trends, and promotions.
Financial Management:
- Oversee and control budgets and expenses to ensure profitability for each store.
- Ensure all stores within the area are meeting financial targets, including sales, margins, and cost control.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, customer feedback, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decisions.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Adapt strategies to maintain competitive advantage in the fashion and footwear market.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and introduce new ideas to drive growth.
- Collaboration with Senior Management:
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding store performance, team progress, and challenges.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and HR teams to ensure smooth operations and the implementation of strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an Area Manager, District Manager, or similar role within retail, preferably in fashion or footwear.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent sales and financial acumen, with experience in driving sales and managing budgets.
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations, customer service, and visual merchandising.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- A passion for fashion and footwear trends is a plus.
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned area.
