Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participates in HR planning in coordination with Group HR & Admin Manager & the General Manager.
  • Recruits local/overseas employee’s permanent and temporary (Bahrainis) in line with Bahrain Labor Law and HRAD policies and procedures.
  • Carries out placement procedures as per Company policy.
  • Receives walk in job seekers in an appropriate manner.
  • Supplies the division with a sufficiently large pool of job candidates and ensure that all employment applications are filed in an appropriate manner.
  • Participates in job analysis, consisting of the position description and job specification as per Group HRAD Manager Guidance & Company standards.
  • Ensures that all new employees go through a proper induction program prior to commencing required duties & responsibilities with a power point orientation demonstrating basic rules and regulations, highlighting important issues per employee hand book.
  • Keeps track of probation assessment of all the new employees recruited and sends reminders to Department Managers / General Manager / MD (two (2) weeks), prior expiry of the probationary period.
  • Prepares confirmation of probationary period for division head’s final approval.
  • Prepares annual training plan in coordination with Department Managers and GM.
  • Participates in the selection and evaluates the effectiveness of approved training providers and institutions.
  • Follows up with Specific Council for Training about training levy payments and the reimbursement procedures, utilizing the entire available levy.
  • Trains and enforces (XX) and division grooming standards for all staff.
  • Prepares Annual leave plan and carry out the necessary procedures for employees’ vacation & temporarily replacement.
  • Follows up and submits contribution relating to Social Insurance & Primary Health Care & Training Levy and ensures that there are no penalties incurred.
  • Preparations of monthly payroll, gets signed by internal audit and concerned director and submits to accounts department, latest by the 25th of every month.
  • Prepares and verifies the overtime payments.
  • Prepares and releases the Leave / Final settlement Cheques on time. (One (1) week prior employee’s vacation date and three (3) days upon resignation or termination of employee’s last working day.
  • Follows up on the selection process of the employee of the quarter award.
  • Ensures that staff deductions due to disciplinary action, bank transfers, telephone deductions, company loans etc are affected in the appropriate monthly salaries.
  • Prepares the attendance report and take the disciplinary actions in line with (XX) Group policy and Bahrain Labor Law.
  • Renews Residence Permit and Contract with the consent and approval from Department Managers/ General Manager and MD on time without delay and maintains a clean record with Immigration, GOSI, CPR and Ministry of Labour.
  • Updates managers’ knowledge concerning Immigration and Labour Law
  • Prepares salary certificate, salary transfer, housing loan for GM’s signature, in line with company policy.
  • Responsible for HR policy awareness and implementation.
  • Receives official inspectors i.e. Ministry of Labor, GOSI, Ministry of Industry & Commerce etc in an appropriate manner.
  • Handles all duties related to Batelco, Electricity and Municipality Affairs without delays.
  • Handles stationary and printing matters by securing the best price and quality in a joint effort with the Group HRAD Manager to benefit from the economies of scale.
  • Initiates and participates in social activities as and when required.
  • Attends Managers weekly meeting and spearheads HR related issues.
  • Performs all Administration correspondence, offer letter, job description, appointment, contract, increment, promotion, warning, termination, etc.
  • Ensures that all RP and Contract renewals are informed to Dept / Division Head / MD (4 months in advance for Managers and minimum of 2 month in advance
  • for all the rest of the employees (Bahrainis & Expatriates).
  • Follows and coordinates with the (XX) head office, companies clearing agent for all Administration Support Services pertaining to Ministry of Labor, Immigration, CPR, Embassies etc.
  • Ensures all personnel files are maintained and updated regularly.
  • Updates all Job Description as per duties & responsibilities prescribed by dept. /division head and MD, from time to time.
  • Tracks record of all forms related to Labor and Immigration such as attaining of new work permit, residence permit, multiple re-entries, no objection certificate, medical, CPR, etc.
  • Carries out other related jobs as assigned by the Management from time to time.
  • Application of VAT and compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to the company.

Experience:

Min. 4 + years of relevant experience.

Skills:

Good knowledge of the human resources management activities as well strong communication and presentation skills and abilities to interact with all levels of management & employees.

  • Experience in HR Management, HR Policies, and Human Resources (HR)
  • Strong skills in Employee Relations
  • Ability to develop comprehensive job descriptions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
