As an API developer in Software AG you would be designing, developing, and maintaining Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that enable the integration of systems, services, and products, ensuring seamless data exchange and functionality in Software AG platforms.
Responsibilities
Solution Design & Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design robust Software AG-based integration solutions that align with business goals and technical standards.
Lead the development of Software AG solutions, including webMethods Integration Server, API Gateway, and other related technologies. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to implement integration workflows, APIs, and custom services.
Customization and Configuration : Customize and configure Software AG products to meet specific project requirements. Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of integration solutions.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to Software AG products. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Collaboration & Best Practices : Work closely with other developers, architects, and business analysts to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in Software AG technologies. Implement and promote coding standards, best practices, and guidelines within the development team.
Documentation & Testing: Create comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and deployment instructions.
Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of Software AG-based solutions. Conduct performance testing and optimize code for efficiency.
Upgrades and Maintenance: Keep abreast of Software AG product updates and patches. Implement upgrades and perform maintenance activities to ensure the security and stability of integration solutions.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Act as a technical lead in collaborative problem-solving sessions, contributing insights and expertise to address challenges and optimize system performance.
Qualification & experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3+ years working in SAG environment
Skill sets
- Proven experience as a Software AG Developer, with a focus on webMethods Integration Server and related products.
- In-depth knowledge of integration patterns, SOA, and API management.
- Good knowledge in SQL Server version 2019 and above
- Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Software AG product suite, including API Gateway, Universal Messaging, and Terracotta.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Having Insurance knowledge is an added advantage
