<p><h4>Responsibilities of the role</h4>
<p>Reporting to the Automation Lead, the job holder will be responsible for the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Manage all IT operations jobs like End of Days, Start of Days, file transfers, etc. via Control-M.</li>
<li>Control-M application software installation, configuration, deployment, and upgrades.</li>
<li>Advise on improving the way of working by bringing an automation-based perspective, proactively suggesting areas of improvement.</li>
<li>Ensure all the Control-M components are always designed and implemented with a high availability concept and increase overall process resiliency.</li>
<li>Should work with operating systems like Solaris, Linux, AIX, and Windows.</li>
<li>Scripting on various platforms and languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to automate operations within Control-M jobs.</li>
<li>Install and manage Control-M modules, i.e., Control-M for backups, Control-M for OS, Control-M for database, Control-M for applications.</li>
<li>Install Control-M Server, Enterprise Manager, and agents (Windows, Unix, and Linux) along with monitoring and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Keep everything documented and all documents constantly up-to-date to keep the team aware of how procedures are running.</li>
<li>Manage the complete Control-M infrastructure in the bank, including installation, upgrade, and configuration of Control-M Workload Automation tool version 8/9+ and future versions.</li>
<li>Run all operation tasks on all banking applications including development, test, UAT/SIT, and production environments.</li>
<li>Automate the above operations and other tasks under Control-M to the maximum extent.</li>
<li>Document all tasks configured under Control-M with contingency plans for running the above jobs manually in case Control-M is not available.</li>
<li>Utilize the full functionality available under Control-M to innovate and improve all tasks running in GPH.</li>
<li>Configure reports on Control-M to report on all operations being performed under Control-M to higher management.</li>
<li>Enhance the reports available in Control-M or build custom reports by using third-party tools like Crystal Report.</li>
<li>Integrate Control-M with backup software to make backups part of the End of Day workflow.</li>
<li>Be part of the operations team for smooth running of operations in GPH.</li>

<li>Support any disaster recovery and business continuity test activities.</li>

<h4>Areas of knowledge, qualification and experience</h4>
<ul>
<li>2-5 years of proven IT operations experience with Unix/Linux and Windows system administration, with 2+ years programming experience and proficiency in Unix shell (Korn, C, Bash) scripting.</li>
<li>A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.</li>
<li>Solid experience working as a Control-M scheduler in a distributed environment of Windows/Linux/Solaris/AIX.</li>

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Airside Safety Responsibilities Ensures the development, review, and update of the Aerodrome Safety department's Training and Competency Requirements Manual. Ensures that the Training and Competency Requirements Guidelines established for all stakeholders is reviewed, updated, published, enforced, and monitored. Participates in safety audits to ensure conformance of stakeholders with the training and competency requirements. Our client maintains a reputation since the year 1980 of being one of the most popular distribution, retail and production of beverages and food organizations in Bahrain.
The job holder shall act as an Infrastructure Specialist, responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, resilience, and performance of client’s enterprise IT and network infrastructure. They shall provide advanced technical expertise across WAN, LAN, MPLS, routing/switching, firewalls, and multi-site connectivity, supporting critical business operations across offices, data rooms, warehouses, and retail locations. The job holder is required to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure services through hands-on technical execution, proactive monitoring, upgrades and lifecycle management, structured incident response and root cause analysis, and effective coordination with telecom providers and technology vendors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Operational Ownership & Stability
· Own day-to-day operation of enterprise network and infrastructure services, ensuring availability and performance across all sites.
· Administer and support WAN/Internet connectivity (MPLS, Fiber, ISP routing) including redundancy, failover testing, and service optimization.
· Operate, maintain, and upgrade firewall and network security platforms (policies, NAT, VPN, firmware upgrades, and rule reviews) in coordination with Cybersecurity requirements.
· Support server room / data room infrastructure (cabling, rack layouts, core/edge/distribution switching, and environmental/physical security coordination).
· Safeguard IT infrastructure assets within secure areas, ensuring proper movement controls and records.
Incident, Change & Risk Management
· Conduct advanced troubleshooting for major incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective/preventive actions.
· Plan and deliver infrastructure changes and upgrades (routers, switches, wireless, links) using change management controls to minimize disruption.
· Monitor network health and capacity, identify risks, and recommend improvements to resilience, performance, and scalability.
Vendor, Documentation & Governance Support
· Coordinate with telecom operators, ISPs, and vendors to ensure service continuity, manage escalations, and drive SLA compliance.
· Coordinate vendor support contracts and renewals from a technical perspective (scope validation, quotations, and technical clarifications).
· Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation including topology diagrams, IP plans, configurations, inventories, and recovery procedures.
· Provide technical input to the Manager – IT Operations & Cybersecurity on architecture decisions, risk items, and improvement roadmaps.
Cybersecurity Alignment
· Implement infrastructure security controls and configurations in alignment with approved cybersecurity policies and standards; security strategy, governance, and monitoring remain under the Cybersecurity function.
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
· Relevant professional certifications are strongly preferred (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent).
· IT service management and security certifications are an advantage (e.g., ITIL Foundation, ISO 27001 awareness, or equivalent).</p><p>Experience
· 5–7 years of proven experience in IT operations/service delivery with a strong focus on network and infrastructure operations.
· Hands-on experience supporting multi-site environments (HQ, warehouses, and retail branches) with business-critical connectivity requirements.
· Demonstrated experience coordinating with ISPs/telecom providers and vendors (fault isolation, escalation, and service restoration).
· Experience executing controlled changes in production (maintenance windows, rollback planning, and post-change validation).
Knowledge
· Strong understanding of enterprise networking (WAN/LAN, routing, switching, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, and segmentation).
· Awareness of hybrid connectivity models, SD?WAN concepts, and cloud?connected infrastructure is an advantage.
· Working knowledge of firewall and security gateway concepts (policy management, site-to-site and remote access VPNs, and secure connectivity troubleshooting).
· Knowledge of high-availability/resilience patterns (redundant links, failover routing, dual ISPs, and continuity planning).

Ensuring that the voyages are performed in compliance with the relevant contracts with due consideration to the commercial strategy. To be responsible for maximizing profit for each voyage. Responsible for following up on post fixture activities and day-to-day execution Monitoring of vessel movements for executing of activities including bunker planning, appointment & coordination with agents and obtaining necessary documentations. Responsible for the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of laytime calculations. To always think out of the box to maximize Dispatch and minimize the demurrage. Handling of voyage accounts for the ships including hire payments, freight payments, SOA and settlement of final voyage account with ship owner. Appointing agents, negotiating proforma D/A and reviewing/settling the final D/A documents. Coordinating with the Legal and Insurance team to minimize risk and exposure. Ensuring that disputes and claims are settled in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinating with account and commercial department on payments, BL collection, tallying of financial statement and following up of outstanding account with relevant parties. Liaise with various parties like ship master, ship brokers, bunker trader, port agents, marine surveyor and other service providers on day-to-day operation matters to ensure all voyages are running smoothly. Ensure compliance to relevant maritime laws, industry standards and insurance matters where appropriate. Working as operations PIC to update vessels ocean and port schedules, solution providing to minimize delays / optimize smooth voyage performance. Monitor vessel performance, analyze date and give regular feedback to Management. Review the stowage plans prepared by the master, study vessel s description and end up with conclusions to maximize cargo intake. Drawing and finalizing charter parties. To assist the chartering and operation manager as required.
