Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the litigation department, overseeing all litigation strategies and activities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to senior management and other departments on litigation-related issues.
- Represent the organization in court hearings, trials, and negotiations.
- Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations relevant to litigation.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and other legal service providers.
- Prepare and review legal documents, pleadings, and motions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Train and mentor junior lawyers and legal staff within the department.
- Conduct legal research and maintain knowledge of industry trends that could affect litigation.
- Develop and manage the litigation budget and allocate resources effectively.
Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Admission to the bar in Bahrain and a minimum of 10 years of experience in litigation.
- Strong understanding of the Bahraini legal system and litigation processes.
- Proven experience in managing a legal team and developing litigation strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years and maximum of 15 years of relevant experience in litigation and legal practice.
- Demonstrated experience in handling complex legal cases and high-stakes litigations.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within a legal department.
- Experience in industry sectors relevant to the organization (e.g., corporate law, commercial disputes).
