Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and create a variety of high-quality pastries and desserts according to the menu standards
  • Oversee the pastry kitchen's daily operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design new dessert items and seasonal menus
  • Ensure the presentation and taste of all pastries meet the restaurant's quality standards
  • Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually enhance pastry offerings


Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
  • Proficient in various baking techniques, pastry-making equipment, and kitchen operations
  • Strong knowledge of pastry ingredients and flavors
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and creativity in pastry presentation

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in pastry arts
  • Experience working in fine-dining establishments is preferred
  • Ability to create unique and innovative pastry items
  • Demonstrated success in managing a pastry kitchen
