Job Objective:
Assist and support the business in achieving key business objectives by effectively managing Operations and Maintenance of the Core, Applications & Services Networks and ensuring adequate execution required for successfully meeting the organizational needs and objectives within requisite timelines, budget and as per desired Telecom standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic:
Monitor, track and report performance against strategic initiatives
Financial:
Assist in tracking adherence to the approved budget
Operational:
- Execute strategic initiatives
- Continuously improve and update setup and design the core network architecture, blueprint and fundamental technical guidelines, as to evolve the services to exceed customer’s expectation
- Implement traffic planning, review analysis of traffic data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and propose core network enhancement plans
- Execute orders related to government compliance for core networks
- Implement Preventive maintenance and adherence to preventive maintenance schedule and service platforms
- Handle fault, customer complaints, and alarms related to core network and ensure fault resolution is maintain within the KPIs
- Deliver in house solutions/products where applicable to Enterprise and Consumer units
- Manage and assure the overall Network Quality that includes regular generation of overall network performance, operational, audit, quality and regulatory reports
- Updating the centralized Data Bases and the Network Inventory.
- Receive, evaluate, and execute Network Request Change (NRC) execute changes in the network or introduce new products.
- Attend call-out 24/7 and night activities to ensure the quality of service
- Undertake all documentation pertaining to technical standards and ensure that regulatory requirements are adhered to, followed and kept updated
- Implement procedures and controls at each functional process, such that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service to internal customers
- Ensure continuous improvement of policies, processes, systems / structural programs and procedures covering all individual Functional activities
People:
- Take ownership for attending the trainings as per the plan
- Take ownership for completing PMS process, employee engagement surveys in time
- Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry and business trends
- Provide relevant information to address employee queries related to functional area
Skills
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications / IT / Computer Science or related domains from an internationally recognized University is a must
Experience:
- 3-5 years of Telecommunication experience, with a substantial proportion gained in a telecommunications business environment
- >2 years of experience as first line manager of a team that deliver network solutions
Certifications:
- Membership of a relevant and internationally recognized, professional body preferred.
- Certification in Project management preferred
