About the Role

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving new business initiatives and strategic partnerships that support Zain Bahrain’s commercial growth. The role manages the planning, execution, and monitoring of business development projects, ensuring initiatives are aligned with corporate objectives and deliver measurable financial results. It combines strategic planning with day-to-day operational leadership to translate commercial ideas into executed programs and partnerships.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Execution


  • Develop and implement business development plans aligned with Zain Bahrain’s growth strategy.


  • Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities, ventures, and digital revenue streams.


  • Conduct feasibility and financial analysis for new commercial initiatives.


  • Coordinate proposal creation, business cases, and presentations for management review.


  • Drive approved projects from initiation through execution and post-launch evaluation.


  • Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline and ensure accurate reporting of progress.


Partnership & Stakeholder Management 


  • Facilitate commercial discussions and negotiations with partners to secure favorable business terms.


  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Technology teams for deal validation and alignment.


  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential partners to expand Zain’s business network.


  • Ensure that all agreements comply with internal governance and regulatory standards.


Operational Leadership & Project Delivery 


  • Supervise the daily execution of ongoing projects and ensure milestones are achieved on time.


  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings to monitor deliverables and resolve operational challenges.


  • Track and manage KPIs related to partnership performance and project contribution to revenue.


  • Prepare detailed post-launch evaluations to measure business impact and lessons learned.


Team Development & Collaboration 


  • Support the team, fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability and innovation.


  • Share market intelligence and partnership insights across departments to align strategic focus.


  • Promote collaboration between Business Development, Devices, Marketing, and Digital teams.


Market Analysis & Reporting 


  • Monitor telecom and digital ecosystem trends to identify emerging opportunities.


  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to maintain Zain Bahrain’s advantage in new product and service launches.


  • Prepare management reports summarizing pipeline status, performance, and future projections.


General 


  • Ensure that all business development activities are executed in accordance with company policies.


  • Represent the department in internal project reviews and strategic committees.


  • Perform any other related duties as assigned or required.





What We Need From You
  • 3-5+ years of experience in telecom, insurance, business development, or partnerships leadership.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or Computer engineering.
