Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation in line with restaurant standards.
- Ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in an Italian cuisine restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working in standalone restaurants preferred.
- Experience in menu planning and development.
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
