Executive Sous Chef Italian - Standalone Restaurant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation in line with restaurant standards.
  • Ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.


Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in an Italian cuisine restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.

Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience working in standalone restaurants preferred.
  • Experience in menu planning and development.
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification.
