Job Responsibilities:
- Perform cannulation and administer intravenous therapy to patients as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and manage IV therapy to ensure proper flow, maintenance, and functionality.
- Assess patients' veins for appropriate cannulation and ensure accurate placement of IV catheters.
- Monitor patients for any signs of complications related to cannulation or IV therapy.
- Maintain accurate records of IV therapy administration and patient responses.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal care to patients receiving IV therapy.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols during IV therapy procedures.
Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in Bahrain.
- Proven experience in cannulation and IV therapy.
- Knowledge of IV therapy procedures, equipment, and protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Training or certifications in IV therapy techniques.
