Business Intelligence Senior Specialist

Role Purpose:


The Business Intelligence Senior Specialist plays a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence capabilities and solutions. She / he collaborates closely with the internal business users, stakeholders and IT teams to deliver business value working with complex data sets, creating advanced reports and dashboards, and providing actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.


Key Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Work with stakeholders to understand their business intelligence and reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions and tangible business deliverables.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel spreadsheets, and other third-party applications.
  • Create and maintain Extract, Trasform, Load (ETL) processes and data pipelines from various sources.
  • Design and implement data models that ensure data integrity and efficiency in reporting.
  • Write complex SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Create and manage interactive dashboards and reports that effectively communicate data insights and trends.
  • Optimize data models, dashaboards, and reports for performance and efficiency.
  • Optimize ETL processes, and data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Identify and resolve issues with data pipelines, Power BI reports and data sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicates complex data and analyses effectively and ensure that data analyses and contexts are fully understood and actionable by business partners, customers and suppliers.
  • Process, clean, and validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis.
  • Commit to continued self-learning and professional development staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science.
  • Acts as a role model by living Transmed Purpose on daily basis, and ensure full compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Performs other role relevant duties as required by the Transmed business needs and priorities.


Role Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Master in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of progressive business technology experience with business intelligence, data modeling, reporting and visualization.
  • Certification and / or proficiency in databases and programming languages such as Python, and database query languages like SQL is preferred.
  • Certification, working knowledge, and / or familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Ability to work with diverse data sources and data types.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and experience in FMCG industry with technical capabilities is preferred.
  • Communication and presentation skills collaborating with business users at various level spread regionally across various countries and business models.
  • Experience with data visualization and ability to describe findings to a technical and non-technical leaders and users community.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
  • Full adherence to change management processes, and policies.
