Job Description
- Manage projects from inception to completion, coordinating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Develop mechanical design concepts, detailed plans, and specifications using CAD software.
- Oversee the entire design process or serve as a technical expert on specialized projects.
- Prepare man-hour estimates, fee proposals, and technical proposals in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
- Review and produce detailed designs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems compliant with industry codes and standards.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of mechanical design, ensuring quality control (QA/QC) throughout the process.
- Participate in client meetings, project coordination sessions, and site visits to address design queries and project concerns.
- Provide BIM-based design and automation solutions to streamline project execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review Bill of Quantities, tender drawings, and specifications.
- Contribute to resource planning, scheduling, and the training of subordinate staff.
- Coordinate with local authorities to secure utilities connections (fire, water, sewerage) as needed for project execution.
- Stay updated on the latest mechanical engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Officiate as Project Manager when required.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chartered status is a plus).
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
- Experience in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- LEED AP accreditation is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or licenses will be considered an advantage
