Business Development
Develop and grow repair and fabrication business with Bahrain shipyard (ASRY) - vessel owners, superintendents and yard project teams - for boiler, heat exchanger, piping and steel fabrication scopes.
Develop business with Bahrain industrial clients: Bapco Refinery, GPIC, Alba, power and desalination plants, EPC contractors and plant maintenance companies.
Complete vendor registration and prequalification with key Bahrain clients and maintain approved-vendor status.
Track shutdown/turnaround schedules, dry-docking programmes and maintenance tenders to build a forward pipeline of opportunities.
Represent the company in client meetings, technical clarifications and industry events in Bahrain.
Techno-Commercial
Attend site surveys and joint inspections; assess boiler, heat exchanger and fabrication scopes; and define technically sound, competitive repair solutions.
Prepare estimates and quotations, negotiate terms and close orders while protecting margin.
Review client purchase orders, contract terms, payment terms and variation claims; manage commercial correspondence and disputes.
Operations
Plan and oversee execution of awarded jobs at the Bahrain branch: manpower deployment, materials, subcontractors, quality (welding/NDT) and HSE compliance.
Control branch project costs against estimates; monitor productivity and drive on-time, on-budget completion.
Coordinate manpower and equipment support with Dubai HO for peak workloads and shutdown campaigns.
Ensure invoicing is raised promptly and follow up on collections; manage branch P&L performance.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports to Dubai HO covering pipeline, order booking, execution status, cost and collections.
Desired Candidate Profile
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar techno-commercial / operations role, or with an EPC contractor serving the marine, oil & gas or industrial sectors.
Strong working knowledge of boilers, heat exchangers and fabrication works - repair methods, materials, welding processes, NDT and testing requirements.
Familiar with the Bahrain market: established contacts within ASRY, Bahrain's industrial plants, EPC contractors and supply chain.
Proven ability to prepare estimates, quotations and commercial proposals, and to negotiate and close orders.
Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken); proficiency in both languages is mandatory.
Valid driving license; transferable visa / Bahrain residency preferred.
