In this Key Account Specialist position
Customer Retention Ratio:
- Percentage of clients retained over a specific period, indicating the effectiveness of relationship management.
- Target: Maintain a customer retention rate of XXX% with a budgeted target for each customer.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Understand client business models and operational needs to provide tailored solutions.
- Develop opportunities to expand business with new clients and continuously improve in-house customer services
- Maintain close business relationship with existing clients, conduct customer visits and achieve a desired level of customer retention
Operational Excellence:
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Oversee the entire process from job creation to billing, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness throughout.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Track account performances and provide monthly reports to management.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement account strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Prepare and present regular business reviews to clients, showcasing performance and future opportunities.
- Execute AFR Ops/CS plans and processes to provide ocean freight services for internal and external customers.
- Assess and interpret to provide requirements of freight control center, and to support and provide operations team with the required details, information and instructions for operational performance.
- Participate to develop and execute plans for ocean freight products in areas such as perishables, pharmaceutical, aviation, etc.
Problem Solving:
- Address and resolve operational issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and effectively.
- Act as a liaison between the client and internal teams to facilitate solutions.
- Pricing:
- Emphasize cross-selling opportunities, ensuring strong alignment with both origin and destination countries.
- Execute pricing strategy and respond to pricing inquiries in an efficient and competitive manner.
- First Point of Contact:
- Act as the primary contact for non-AFR requirements, collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions and effectively communicate these to customers.
- Operational KPI Maintenance:
- Ensure the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of operational KPIs to drive performance.
- Track account performances and provide monthly reports to management.
Account NR and GP:
- Develop and administer AFR Ops/CS plans and processes to deliver the flow of goods and information across the customer’s global supply chain.
- Identify opportunities to enhance ocean freight productivity, and ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization.
Market Insights:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to provide strategic insights to clients.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.
- Study and resolve issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for AFR Ops/CS focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, operational performance, and project progress.
- Prepare reports for management on account status and performance metrics.
- Execute pricing strategy and respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner.
- Conduct day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding, assist in development of shipping tenders and ensure on-time submission on relevant documents.
- Identify opportunities to enhance ocean freight productivity, and efficient resource allocation and utilization.
- Analyze and provide input for processes and design systems to enhance service quality.
