Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Design and implement an innovative Italian menu that reflects the culinary trends and preferences of our clientele.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets the restaurant's excellence.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and motivation to foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
- Control food costs by planning and managing inventory, minimizing waste, and ensuring effective portion control.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing strategies and promotional events that enhance our culinary offerings.
- Stay current with industry trends, continuously exploring new techniques and ingredients to enhance menu offerings.
Skills
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant.
- Exceptional knowledge of Italian cuisine, cooking techniques, and high-quality ingredients.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a senior chef role, preferably in Italian fine dining.
- Experience managing food and labor costs effectively.
- A culinary degree or relevant certification is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative and seasonal menu items that showcase Italian cuisine.
