Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Design and implement an innovative Italian menu that reflects the culinary trends and preferences of our clientele.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets the restaurant's excellence.
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and motivation to foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Control food costs by planning and managing inventory, minimizing waste, and ensuring effective portion control.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing strategies and promotional events that enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Stay current with industry trends, continuously exploring new techniques and ingredients to enhance menu offerings.


Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Italian cuisine, cooking techniques, and high-quality ingredients.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a senior chef role, preferably in Italian fine dining.
  • Experience managing food and labor costs effectively.
  • A culinary degree or relevant certification is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative and seasonal menu items that showcase Italian cuisine.
