Job Title: Shift Supervisor - Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant

Position Overview:  

The Shift Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters per day, ensuring the effective treatment of brackish water. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of water treatment processes, particularly reverse osmosis systems, along with experience in monitoring treated water quality and managing chemical dosing protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of operators during assigned shifts, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Provide guidance and support to ensure optimal team performance.

- Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor and optimize the reverse osmosis treatment process to guarantee compliance with established quality standards. Utilize data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Water Quality Management: Conduct rigorous testing of treated water quality, implementing adjustments to chemical dosing as necessary to meet regulatory and safety standards. Maintain an understanding of the latest testing methodologies and quality assurance protocols.

- Regulatory Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and integrate them into operational practices.

- Operational Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve operational issues, employing analytical and critical thinking skills to mitigate downtime and maintain plant efficiency. Document troubleshooting procedures and outcomes for future reference.

- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of daily operations, including production data, maintenance logs, and compliance reports. Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory requirements and internal standards.

- Staff Development: Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices, operational procedures, and safety protocols. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in water treatment operations, with a strong focus on brackish water processing and reverse osmosis systems.

- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of reverse osmosis technology and water treatment processes, with proven experience in sample testing and quality monitoring.

- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively, with strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to foster a positive work environment.

- Regulatory Familiarity: Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and best practices applicable to water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance at all levels.

- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure and implement effective solutions.

- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
