Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of Italian cuisine dishes as per the recipes and standards set by the Head Chef.
- Ensure high-quality food preparation, cooking, and presentation of all Italian dishes.
- Support in maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen areas, including storage spaces and workstations.
- Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate kitchen activities and ensure timely food service.
- Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and innovation in the Italian cuisine section.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of ingredients necessary for Italian dishes.
- Collaborate with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in various kitchen duties as needed.
Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Culinary diploma or degree in Food Production or related field.
- Prior experience in Italian cuisine cooking techniques and dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in Italian cuisine.
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools used in Italian cuisine cooking.
