Procurement Manager

Our client is a leading regional FMCG manufacturing company , looking to hire the Procurement Manager in Bahrain. You'll play a vital role by overseeing the acquisition of goods and services to meet the company's operational needs. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for Food & Beverages products and materials
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor market trends and identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
  • Conduct cost analysis and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Oversee inventory management and optimize stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals and provide guidance and support
  • Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes
  • Implement sustainable procurement practices and initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in the FMCG- Food & Beverages industry
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and market trends
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards
  • Strategic mindset and ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Commitment to ethical and sustainable procurement practices
