Audit Senior / Audit Executive – ACCA / Semi-Qualified CA

Preference: Candidates currently based in Bahrain will be preferred

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ACCA qualified/part-qualified professional or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Audit & Assurance team.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in conducting audits in Bahrain, strong knowledge of current IFRS requirements, and the ability to independently coordinate with and manage clients throughout an audit assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete statutory and external audit assignments.

• Review accounting records, trial balances, financial statements and supporting documentation.

• Prepare and review audit working papers and supporting schedules.

• Identify audit risks, control weaknesses and accounting issues during assignments.

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with current IFRS requirements.

• Ensure audit assignments comply with applicable International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

• Handle audit queries and communicate findings with client management.

• Independently coordinate with clients for information, documentation and audit completion.

• Assist in drafting audit reports, management letters and financial statement disclosures.

• Manage multiple client assignments and ensure timely completion within agreed deadlines.

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and provide practical guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.

• Support senior management and partners in audit planning, review and finalisation.

  
  

Candidate Requirements

• ACCA qualified / ACCA part-qualified / Semi-Qualified CA.

• Minimum 2 years of audit or assurance experience in Bahrain.

• Strong practical experience in conducting statutory/external audits.

• Good and updated knowledge of IFRS and ISA.

• Ability to prepare and review financial statements and audit documentation.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Ability to independently handle and communicate with clients.

• Good analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work within deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting software.

Desired Candidate Profile

Preferred Profile

• Currently residing and working in Bahrain.

• Previous experience with an audit or accounting firm in Bahrain.

• Familiarity with the Bahrain business and regulatory environment.

• Experience handling a portfolio of SME and corporate audit clients.

• Candidates who can independently manage an audit assignment from planning through finalisation will be strongly preferred.
