Roles & Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Control: Create production schedules, manage workflow to meet deadlines and specifications, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure projects meet company and customer requirements.
- Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage production budgets, estimate costs, and implement measures to control expenses and improve profitability.
- Staff Management: Supervise, motivate, and train production staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance to ensure an efficient and productive team.
- Resource & Inventory Management: Determine and secure necessary resources, including raw materials, equipment, and workforce, and oversee inventory levels.
- Equipment Maintenance: Organize routine maintenance and troubleshooting for production machinery and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
- Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and foster a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance production processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency and productivity.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as engineering, logistics, and sales, to coordinate activities and ensure a smooth flow of operations.
- Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare performance reports, and communicate progress and issues to upper management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field, with a strong foundation in ship repair processes.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the ship repair or maritime industry, showcasing a proven track record.
