Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Mechanical Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender documents, quantity take-offs, and project budgets for mechanical works including piping, fabrication, HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, equipment installation, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
Prepare detailed cost estimation for mechanical works.
Conduct quantity take-off from drawings and BOQ preparation.
Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Analyze material, labor, equipment, and indirect costs.
Prepare tender submissions and technical proposals.
Coordinate with procurement, project, and engineering departments.
Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings when required.
Evaluate project risks and prepare cost comparison reports.
Maintain estimation database and historical costing records.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in mechanical estimation works.
Knowledge of Bahrain market rates and suppliers is an advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.

Salary Range in Bahrain
Typical salary may range from BHD 400 – BHD 900 depending on experience and project type.
