Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join a leading investment group. The role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment-related transactions
• Monitor cash flow and support treasury operations
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in line with company policies
• Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing schedules and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
• Maintain proper financial records and documentation
• Assist in accounting and reporting of investment-related activities across entities

Skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within investment, financial services, or corporate environments
• Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
• Experience in reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Bilingual: Arabic & English (written and spoken is required)
