JOB SUMMARY:
This Eastern Hemisphere Compliance Analyst will be based in either Bahrain or Saudi Arabia and will assist with Helmerich & Payne’s corporate compliance programs with responsibilities in the areas of Global Anti-Corruption, Trade Compliance, Personal Data Privacy, Training, and other responsibilities as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following items represent the majority of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all inclusive nor to prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Regular and reliable attendance is essential and required in performance of job.
- Conducts compliance monitoring activities in an effort to ensure that all regulations are being followed. Maintains programs to comply with organization requirements.
- Creates and maintains reports and records from the compliance program.
- Communicates findings from reviewed transactions and provides suggestions for resolution of invoice support or trade compliance exceptions exceptions.
- Under supervision, identifies, develops, recommends, and maintains internal standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws/regulations, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC) and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
- Serves as a liaison between the Corporate Compliance team based in the U.S. and the regional offices.
- Plans and conducts educational/training programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies for the organization.
- Researches and maintains current industry knowledge by reading newsletters and journals and attending industry meetings and training sessions related to changes in laws, rules, and procedures as they relate to Federal, State, International and company issues. Confers with other departments and outside parties to develop plans to implement changes effectively.
- Travel between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and potential travel to other EH based countries.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Minimum education, experience, technical, and communication skill levels, and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position.
- Demonstrates strong character, ethics and integrity
- Knowledge of accounting standards and information as it relates to financial statements and reporting
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation, and leadership) to work effectively with all levels of in the Company
- Maintains a high level of awareness and knowledge of global anti-bribery and trade compliance requirements and assists in the identification of associated risks and escalates issues to management as identified
- Excellent PC-based software application skills: Oracle, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to organize and plan multiple activities which require close attention to detail
- Ability to travel as needed (passport required)

CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Compliance Professional (CCEP) preferred.
EDUCATION:
- University/College degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Finance or similar field
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 6 – 8 years’ experience in Corporate Compliance, Auditing, Financial Reporting or similar field
