Chief Accountant

Como Lounge Al Ain

Como is a bustling and popular cafe known for its excellent service and high-quality offerings. We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Chief Accountant to manage our financial operations and ensure accuracy in all financial matters.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Provide analysis and insights to management.

Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost control measures.

Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Tax Compliance: Prepare and file all necessary tax documents. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Audit Coordination: Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoicing, collections, and payments to vendors. Ensure timely and accurate processing.

Financial Planning: Provide financial forecasts and strategic advice to support business decisions and growth.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with management and other departments to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

- Proven experience as a chief accountant or in a similar senior accounting role, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

- Good organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
