Job Description:
The Oiler will be responsible for the following:
- Assisting in the maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment on board the vessel.
- Lubricating moving parts of engines and equipment.
- Cleaning and performing routine maintenance on machinery.
- Assisting the engineering team in any required tasks.
Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on ships or vessels.
- Knowledge of basic engine and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols on board a vessel.
Desired Experience:
Ideal candidates for the Oiler position will have:
- 1-3 years of experience working in a similar role.
- Familiarity with different types of machinery and equipment on vessels.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques.
