Abs Development Organization for woman and Child (ADO) is a well-established national, humanitarian, developmental, non-profit and non-governmental organization, founded in August 1996 by a group of Yemeni girls to provide a better life for women, children, and youths. ADO has been operating in Yemen for more than 28 years with an outstanding coverage to the deprived rural areas located on the coast of Tehama and other various areas in Yemen aiming to get rid of poverty and infectious diseases. Since its inception, ADO has implemented over 213 developmental and humanitarian projects. According to ADO latest cumulative statistics, by end of the year 2021, a total of  6,695,412 people were benefited from these interventions. Consequently, the organization has established itself among the most effective civil society organizations in Yemen that are working on issues related to livelihood, health, education, and WASH supporting women, children, and youth. Operating from its Headquarter office in Sana’a, and through its branch offices in Al-Hodeidah, Hajjah, Abs, Raymah Taiz and Aden, ADO provides educational, health, livelihood and WASH services to urban and rural communities. As ADO believes that women are the essence of life, it has devoted all its activities and programs to empower and educate women who will lead to a modern and just state. ADO also believes that protecting and caring for children will result in a prosperous future; free from crime and terrorism. Job objectives/ Scop

The Case Management Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the implementation of case management services within the Reducing Illness, Violence, and Abuse through Systematic Empowerment (RISE) project. This position assists in the delivery of effective and confidential services to vulnerable women and children, particularly those who are survivors or at risk of gender-based violence (GBV). The Case Management Assistant will get support from Case Management Officer in all aspects of women protection (GBV) case management and ensure that services are delivered efficiently and respectfully, according to the project's goals and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support for Case Management Services:
    • Assist in the coordination and provision of case management services to ensure they are survivor-centered, confidential, and effective.
    • Help in organizing and conducting assessments, planning, and implementing support plans for WOMEN PROTECTION (GBV)survivors.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all cases and interventions in line with organizational and ethical standards.
  2. Training and Supervision Support:
    • Assist in developing training materials and participate in the delivery of training sessions to staff and community members.
    • Train and supervise based on case management officer recommendation to conduct it for local volunteers and other relevant staff in the project.

 

  1. Community Engagement and Mobilization:
    • Assist in community outreach and awareness activities to educate the community about WOMEN PROTECTION (GBV)and the availability of services.
    • Engage with local stakeholders to promote the project and establish a supportive environment for WOMEN PROTECTION (GBV)survivors.
  2. Data Collection and Reporting:
    • Help in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to case management activities.
    • Ensure that all documentation and reports are completed on time and submitted to the Case Management Officer.
  3. Logistical Support:
    • Provide logistical support for case management activities, including organizing meetings, workshops, and other events.
    • Ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment for case management activities are available and properly managed.
  4. Referral and Networking:
    • Assist in maintaining and updating referral pathways and networks with other service providers.
    • Support the establishment of strong links with health facilities, legal services, and other relevant partners to facilitate comprehensive support for beneficiaries.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in case management, social work, or a related field, preferably within a humanitarian or development context.
  • Proven Experience in GBV-specific programs is highly desirable.

 

Skills

  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
  • Basic understanding of data collection and reporting.
  • Empathy and sensitivity towards the needs and confidentiality of WOMEN PROTECTION (GBV)survivors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.
  • Fluent in Arabic, with basic proficiency in English.
