Job Purpose To sell motor insurance policies through various designated Motor Dealership Showrooms in accordance with Company underwriting and premium guidelines. To maximize the renewal of issued policies on an annual basis. To promote GIG brand image across the Motor Dealership network to maximize new and renewal business. To sell and promote non-motor policies to their own customers and potential new customers generated from their efforts and business contacts.

Key Responsibilities:
To build a strong relationship(s) with the motor sales team within a designated Motor Showroom to maximize the opportunity to sell new motor insurance products to purchasers of new and used motor vehicles from the designated dealership. The job holder is responsible for selling on motor insurance within delegated authority limits and in accordance with the criteria laid down in approved underwriting manuals. The job holder is expected to be able to differentiate between “good†and “poor†motor risks to minimize the loss ratio associated with policies issued. Increase the personal lines business by answering customer queries through the dealers and cross sell other retail products to clients through dealer deals. The job holder will be responsible for the upfront collection from client via bank transfer to GIG account or chq from the approved dealership showroom under the control of and in conjunction with the Finance Department. Renewal retention: securing 70% renewal retention. Accountability to Complaints: to ensure less complaints by providing the best level of service to all our clients. Claims handling: helping our existing clients from A to Z. KYC: collect and update the client documentation regularly. Data entry: accuracy and precise. A high Level of Discretion is expected due to the sensitive nature of information the associate is privy to.
Business Knowledge:The job requires a broad knowledge of GIG motor insurance and related personal lines products. The job requires a good understanding of underwriting principles. The job holder requires a basic understanding of those competitors providing Motor Insurance, key aspects of their policies, market offers and benefits.
Operational & Technical Responsibilities:Sound experience of administrative systems, processes, underwriting and risk assessment principles of personal lines products Expertise in managing broker expectations Skilled in terms of preparing MIS reports, data extraction & consolidation and statistical analysis and competent in Microsoft packages; (especially Excel & Power Point) Knowledge of Retail business and account management/relationship building techniques Visibility on competitor's products /offering and pricing approach Functional Skills/Physical Competencies: e.g., Industry Knowledge, Stress Management, Time Management, Relationship Management. Good communication skills in Arabic & English. Should have good knowledge of insurance industry, products, functions, and competitors. Interacts with other departments on a regular basis. E.g., underwriting department for approval on premium rates, support for policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, and with Finance Basis day to day planning required. Decision making required to define good and bad risk to company. Requires very good sales and customer care traits.
Minimum Requirements of Role Essential:Min. 2 years sales experience Sales Training Basic computer skills required.
