Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, or equivalent certifications. ITIL or COBIT certifications are highly desirable. Experience : 5–8 years of experience in IT and IS auditing, with at least 3 years in telecom or related industries.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Conducting comprehensive IT & IS audits for clients from telecom sector
Role
1. IT & IS Audit Execution:
- Plan and perform comprehensive IT and IS audits for telecom operations, covering infrastructure, applications, networks, and data centers.
- Assess the effectiveness of IT controls, policies, and procedures in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and telecom-specific regulations.
2. Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
- Identify IT-related risks and vulnerabilities unique to telecom operations, including network security, customer data protection, and service continuity.
- Develop and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure audits comply with applicable telecom regulations, such as GDPR, Bahrain PDPL, and other regional data protection laws.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to assess adherence to CBB (Central Bank of Bahrain) regulations for telecom operators offering financial services.
4. Process Improvement:
- Evaluate the design and implementation of IT systems and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency, security, and reliability.
- Provide insights into the optimization of IT service management, vendor performance, and change management processes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with senior management, IT teams, and external stakeholders to communicate findings, recommendations, and action plans.
- Deliver presentations and reports tailored for technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Audit Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations and track corrective actions to closure.
- Maintain comprehensive audit documentation to support findings and recommendations.
7. Mentorship & Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Lead small to medium-sized audit teams during engagements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
2. Certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, or equivalent certifications. ITIL or COBIT certifications are highly desirable.
Experience:
3. 5–8 years of experience in IT and IS auditing, with at least 3 years in telecom or related industries.
Proven expertise in auditing telecom IT systems, such as OSS/BSS, customer relationship management (CRM), billing systems, and network management tools.
4. Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of telecom technologies, including LTE, 5G, VoIP, and SDN/NFV.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, DLP systems, and network security protocols.
5. Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Other Requirements: Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
