MPH is recruiting an MIE Materials Engineer
contract duration till Oct 2025
location : Doha
Accountabilities
- Primarily contribute to the Maintenance & Inspection Engineering Contract (MIEC) spare parts activities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, such as Field Operations, Material Management and Procurement.
- Ensure compliance of MIEC activities specifications / standards and local legislation.
- Review and validate the Material Master Request Form (MMRF) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
- Participate and follow pre-purchase requests to ensure materials data correctness.
- Network with suppliers and contractors to maintain up to date data into CMIMS system and contractor deliverables.
- Provide assistance to the MIE contractor Work Package leaders with regards to spare parts activities issues.
- Provide technical support and assistance during and after the start-up of the new facilities for all MIEC related issues.
- Support the management, as required, of designated Contractors ensuring compliance with NOC HSE & Maintenance Procedures and Policies.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- The work location is Doha with possible overseas missions to MIEC Contractor office.
- Offshore visits as required.
ACTIVITIES
- HSEQ Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Incident Free culture, Health and Safety and Environment policy.
- Support and enforce the Project HSEQ Management System (charters, objectives, directives, plans, procedures and specifications etc.).
- Promotes HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels through proactive attitude - Site tour
management at Contractor yard / premises, HSEQ meetings ensuring risks are identified, actions assigned and managed within Project Team and Contractors.
- Monitor work activities, especially areas where unsafe acts could occur and ensure that risks have been properly identified and assessed prior to work execution (Job Safety Analysis).
- Ensure that potential failures, weaknesses and hazards are immediately reported.
- MIEC General Responsibilities:
- Follow contracts as directed by MIEC Leader.
- Identify areas of concern, challenge and identify / implement improvement measures.
- Contribute to the resolution of all outstanding procurement related actions.
- Provide assistance to the MIE Contractor Work Package Leaders to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- MIEC Technical Responsibilities:
- Follow MIEC activities ensuring that Project schedule delivers operating and capital spare parts into warehouse for handover to operations.
- Review the quality and compliance of MIE deliverables required for the completion of spare parts deliverables in EDMS.
- Work closely with project management and engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Review the quality of the technical description for all spare parts (commissioning/start up, capital and operational) ensuring purchase requisition specification and relevant certification are correct.
- Initiate and follow pre-purchase requests to manufacturers, jobbers or vendors to ensure material data correctness.
- Ensure data availability and accuracy prior to initiate procurement process.
- Contribute to Maintenance & Inspection philosophies, strategies and spare parts recommendation strategy.
- Support the preparation and implementation of the Materials Management System.
- Contribute to the mass loading of PM data into the CMIMS and adequacy of deliverables for spare parts (capital / operational) and consumables as required.
- Provide technical clarification support to the procurement engineers as required.
- Perform REX (Return of Experience) on a regular basis with the MIE Contractor to ensure lessons are understood and drive continual improvement.
- Project Responsibilities:
- Provide support to project start-up.
- Provide support as required to commissioning activities.
- Facilitate efficient communication / information flow with MIEC Lead, Project Team, Stakeholders and Procurement and Maintenance departments.
- Ad-hoc activities as required by line manager.
- All staff must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during Emergency Response Situations if required.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years' experience in procurement, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Experience with CMIMS.
- Familiar with NOC/Total Energies standards, relevant Codes and Standards and EDMS.
- Fluent in English (listening, writing and speaking) and its technical vocabulary.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a complex and multicultural environment.
- Available for missions as necessitated by Project.
- Medically fit to travel to Offshore Oil & Gas Platforms.
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certification.
