Main Objectives
Responsible for supervising the Hygiene Shift Leaders to ensure that the laid down cleaning schedules are followed as per instructions within the Quality Assurance Manual. Ensures that suitable and sufficient stocks of chemicals are available for carrying out the cleaning of the section as well as pest control.
Main Duties
- Directs the activities of assigned hygiene groups and monitors work scheduled during day duty to ensure that it is carried out efficiently. Includes; assisting hygiene staff where necessary and initiating additional work if required to fulfill the department cleaning and sanitizing requirements, training new and existing staff about the cleaning methods and chemicals for effective cleaning.
- Prepares and compiles daily hygiene reports on activities carried out by the Hygiene staff for approval by the section head to confirm the adequacy of the activities.
- Assists with pest control duties within and around the Catering department to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Responsible for ordering equipment and disposable items to ensure a minimum and sufficient stock is available.
- Assists in evaluating new cleaning equipment and chemicals during tenders and when new items are proposed to choose most effective and less cost options.
- Prepares work orders for Maintenance on defective, damaged, or missing equipment and structure throughout the unit to maintain the unit in a standard not to jeopardize the food safety.
- Collects water samples throughout the Unit and the Airport for analysis in the laboratory by the Laboratory Technician to ensure about the water microbiological quality level.
- Follows staff annual medical checkup requirements, assists in making appointments and receive the medical reports to ensure all food handling staff meets the requirement of annual medical check up requirement.
- Comply with Company's and airport authorities’ health, safety & security requirements.
- Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- A minimum of a High School certificate.
Experience:
- 5 years experience in a similar portion.
