Supply Chain Manager

Egypt - Cairo

This is a full-time role at “Le Voile”, with direct reporting to Company CEO.

Le Voile Supply Chain manager will be generally responsible for monitoring logistics and periodically updating the company's inventory. He analyzes the efficiency of operations and undertakes the task of solving operational problems. He also manages relationships with suppliers and communicates with them to organize agreed upon supplies. Le Voile Supply Chain Manager maintains inventory that matches the company's needs and the purchase or manufacturing orders listed. He shall be heading Le Voile factory/ production and the Wholesale/ distribution businesses.

Le Voile Supply Chain Manager duties shall include:

  • Planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams
  • Provide suggestions for improving operations
  • Dealing with problems and providing appropriate solutions at the right time
  • Work with the finance and sales team to identify the best vendors and distributors
  • Build good relationships with vendors and maintain positive interactions
  • Supervise, train and motivate purchasing department employees and thoroughly understand all of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all purchase order requests are properly completed and approved before a purchase order is prepared and the items are purchased.
  • Ensure all items received are properly documented in accordance with company purchasing and receiving procedures.
  • Ensure that all storage areas are secure, clean and properly organized.
  • Establish and maintain par stocks on all inventoried items, keeping in mind that inventory levels must be kept as low as possible without compromising the efficiency.
  • Establish product specifications with details of item, supplier and additional operational comments and have two alternatives on hand.
  • Structure par levels on constant basis to guarantee operational supply.
  • Coordinate the annual operating equipment and supply requirements.
  • Conduct frequent quality control audits to ensure staff is properly trained and following established procedures.
  • Develops local network of reliable suppliers, which provide the best quality to the best pricing arrangements.
  • Forecast and budget monthly and yearly consumption to work on volume rebates with suppliers.
  • Communicate (verbally or in writing) in a polite, respectful and efficient mode to all concerned parties.
  • Support your team in any way possible, accordingly to the business needs.
  • Determine performance measurement tools (along with HR) for the department members
  • Training and evaluating employees’ performance periodically
  • Respond properly to emergency or safety situations.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience as Supply Chain Manager or similar role (with experience in fashion industry/ business).Very good expertise in logistics, supply chain, chain management, procurement, purchasing, manufacturing/ production, transport and operations.Bachelor education (additional other qualification is a plus).Excellent analytical mind and highly results oriented.Excellent planning, organizational and leadership skills.High communication and interpersonal capabilities.Team playerHigh proficiency in decision making & problem solvingExcellent skills in route Optimization and Warehouse OptimizationProficient in use of MS Office and Microsoft ERP system is a must.Very good command of English language
