Job Details

  • Understanding project specifications, analyzing requirements, and developing the WBS, activity list and attributes, milestone list, activity sequence, activity resource, and duration estimates in coordination with the project team.

  • Prepare and update the scope, schedule, and cost baselines; program, resource loading, manpower histogram, equipment, etc., to include in the project management plan and to assist the project team with plan approvals and change management.

  • Prepare and update the cash flow in accordance with the approved plan.

  • Play a significant role in monitoring and controlling project work, and report KPIs to the project manager with recommended corrective actions.

  • Prepare and update reports in scheduling software Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project used for the project.

  • Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily reports, including but not limited to resource histograms, S-curves, look-ahead schedules, progress reports, variation orders, change orders, time delay extensions, recovery schedules, and event records supporting claims.

  • Maintain the risk register and watch list to anticipate potential risks and recommend preventive/corrective actions to the project manager.

  • Supply all relevant information to the Divisional Manager/Project Manager for review at the specified intervals set.

  • Assist the Divisional Manager with a range of other duties as may be required from time to time.

  • Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with, the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics.

  • Analyze any additional work or changes in scope that will affect the baseline program, notify the client/engineer as per the contract requirements, and, if required, submit a request for an extension of time.

  • Attending meetings/site visits for progress updates along with the client/engineer as required. Update the approved baseline program by visiting the site and discussing it with the project in charge and the divisional manager before submitting it to the client.

  • He has to look into planning and perform all the duties required for multiple projects


Employee Supervision

  • Ensure all data provided by the project team are accurate and complete.

  • Monitor and review all project plans/documents prepared and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Liaise with the project team, subcontractors, consultants, clients, or any other stakeholders as instructed by the project manager.

  • Other Employee Supervision duties as required.

Teamwork

  • Participate as a vital team member and contribute to the organization's success, which may involve providing additional technical and administrative support as required.

  • Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.

  • Collaborate with project teams on other special initiatives, as required.


Desired Candidate Profile

Must have a Civil Engineering Degree with a minimum of 6 years experience as a Project planner in road construction.
