One of our biggest clients is looking for a Software Engineer - Android.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Work with outside data sources and APIs.

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Follow best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 4 years of experience in Android app development.

Proficient and practical knowledge of design patterns and their implementation in Kotlin and Java.

Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

In-depth knowledge of Android lifecycle for fragments, activities, practical experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM or Kanban would do).

Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

Experience with versioning tools (Git) and understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Ability to write new modules using maintainable architecture and participate in code reviews

Nice to have experience in leveraging common SDKs e.g. : Firebase, Fastlane scripting, MoEngage, Google Analytics etc.
