Roles & Responsibilities
The Auto Finance Officer will be responsible on processing customer requests for internal financing options and securing financing from banks for vehicle purchases. The Auto Finance Officer should have a good background in finance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process customer requests for internal financing options, including reviewing credit applications, verifying customer information.
- Communicate with customers to explain financing options, terms, and conditions, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the process.
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide accurate and timely information regarding financing options available to customers.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions to secure financing for customers' vehicle purchases.
- Prepare necessary documentation for loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Negotiate loan terms and interest rates with banks on behalf of customers.
- Stay updated on current lending rates, loan programs, and industry trends in automotive financing.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to financing activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships with customers throughout the financing process.
- Follow up with sales executives if a customer isn t met by Auto Finance Coordinator to obtain necessary details.
- Ensure comprehensive customer information is provided for all applications (in-house deals, NOC requests, or Hold payments).
- Coordinate with sales admin to monitor compliance with deal approval terms and conditions.
- Prepare a weekly report on the number of in-house deals initiated, bank deals, and relevant reports for approved customers.
- Submit thorough and well-written in-house applications after meeting customers and gathering information.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles within the automotive industry.
- Experience in a dealership setting is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations related to automotive financing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solving ability alongside having the initiative to produce a better output throughout work tasks & duties.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
