Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare treatment areas, instruments, and materials for procedures in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and preventive treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, and ensure proper inventory management of dental supplies.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Capture and update patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record system.
- Provide chair-side support, including patient positioning, suctioning, and delivering dental materials as required.
- Assist with patient education and post-procedure care instructions to promote optimal outcomes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and disinfected clinical environment in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks as needed to support front desk operations.
- Handle minor administrative duties such as confirming appointments and processing basic insurance documentation under supervision.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (education requirement specified).
- Entry-level position; prior professional dental experience is beneficial but not required.
- Basic understanding of dental terminology, radiography safety, and infection control protocols.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support a busy clinical environment.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and reliability.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
