Overview HVAC Journeyman provides maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment using knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout. Certifying or inspecting repair or maintenance work performed by maintenance teams. Escorting the subcontract workers, buses, and trucks to various locations. Responsibilities + Perform HVAC work involving installation, maintenance, and repair of package units, chillers, heat pumps, and air-handling equipment. + Performs inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems on site systems and components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and repair parts and recommend preventive maintenance improvements. + Certifying or inspecting repair or maintenance work performed by maintenance teams. + Requests for equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required to complete necessary installations and/or repair. + Assists in determining exact nature and extent of repairs required and assists in major and minor repairs. + Responsible for escorting the subcontract workers, buses, and trucks to various locations. + Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements. Qualifications + Education: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent. + HVAC Journeyman license through any U.S State. + EPA universal certified. + Must possess driver’s license with at least 1 year of remaining validity and ability to drive a Standard Transmission vehicle. + Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. + Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC) + Must have communication skills in English, both written and oral. + Experience + 1-4 years related experience. + Skills: + Good verbal and written communication skills to direct employees, prepare reports for upper management and facilitate/disseminate information. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requires handling multiple tasks at a given time. + Able to utilize computer automated systems to perform assigned duties. + Able and willing to perform other duties as needed, as skills and program allow. + Knowledge and understanding of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements. + Ability to work effectively with employees and management.
