Job Description

We are urgently hiring an experienced Safety Officer for an oil & gas shutdown / maintenance project. The role involves ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, monitoring all site activities, and enforcing PTW, LOTO, and safety control systems to maintain an incident-free work environment.

The Safety Officer will conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA), carry out site inspections and audits, investigate incidents and near misses, and coordinate closely with supervisors, foremen, technicians, and contractors to promote a strong safety culture on site.

1. Diploma or Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field

   
   
   

2. NEBOSH certification is mandatory

   
   
   

3. IOSH / OSHA or equivalent HSE certification preferred

   
   
   

4. 3-7 years of experience in safety roles

   
   
   

5. Experience in shutdown, oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects

   
   
   

6. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, PTW, LOTO, and risk assessment practices

   
   
   

7. Ability to conduct safety briefings and training sessions

   
   
   

8. Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills

   
   
   

9. Proactive approach to hazard identification and risk control

   
   
   

10. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shutdown environment
